Jamie Edis to join the Festival line-up
May 8th, 2008 by rosaliewritersI’m delighted to announce a late addition to our line-up of presenters.
Jamie Edis will be showing the Pre-Primary classes how he created his book, Have You Ever Heard a Giraffe Laugh?
When we first invited him to present at the Festival, he was flat out organising his book launch. Now that’s over, Jamie has time to breathe and has made a last-minute decision to join us, which is fantastic news.
He has drawn on his background in visual media - most recently as animator, illustrator, computer game designer, sound effects creator and character voice actor of ezone.com - to produce a visually enhanced multi-media presentation.
Jamie will be incorporating games and a puppet show into the session too - something for the PPs to look forward to.

Welcome Jamie,
Your laughing giraffe and my eccentric Miss Llewellyn-Jones are companions from the Fremantle Press menagerie. I’m sure they are looking forward to getting together at the Festival.

Hal Spacejock is another from the Fremantle Press stable - although he’s a bit dangerous to have around so I might keep him clear of the animals …

I saw Jamie present recently and was lucky enough to carry his giraffe on one occasion. Jamie’s book is gorgeous (I think I have read it out loud at least a hundred times already - thanks so much, Jamie!) and the littlies will absolutely love him.
